REBUILDING TOGETHER DC ALEXANDRIA

Washington, District of Columbia, 20032 United States

Mission Statement

Our services strengthen the lives of people in our most vulnerable neighborhoods. Our organization renovates schools and parks and repairs homes of those who cannot physically or financially afford to do so, making homes safer and healthier for residents.

About This Cause

The services we provide help people stay in homes they can afford, creating stability and maintaining more socially, culturally, and economically diverse neighborhoods. Rebuilding Together provides free home repairs to low income homeowners throughout the year, and we extend our impact by improving neighborhood community centers and open spaces that serve our clients and other residents in need. We do all this work with the generous support of volunteers, donors and corporate sponsors, who have worked on over 2,200 projects in the Alexandria since we began in 1986. We are excited to bring our services to DC in 2019. Programs: Safe & Healthy Homes—free home repairs for low-income homeowners with a focus on home safety, health, and energy efficiency.
