Mission Statement
Our Little Roses is a non-governmental organization(NGO) dedicated to rescuing the girl child in Honduras from situations of risk, empowering and transforming them in a loving atmosphere of unity, respect, and security into successful women with moral and spiritual values.
About This Cause
In Honduras where the plight of abused and abandoned girls was once ignored, the ministry of Our Little Roses has become an oasis of hope and opportunity for the girl child at risk. Our Little Roses is dedicated to repairing spirits and building lives, preparing once destitute, abandoned, neglected girls to enter into society, self-sufficient and bringing change to Honduras. Each girl who comes to Our Little Roses is given a safe, secure and loving home, along with a good education. The idea that she can become whoever she wants to become is nurtured and encouraged, giving each girl a vision of the future that life can be transformed through effort and God’s help. We are a residential home where our girls live together as a family while they attend school. Our capacity is approximately 70 girls. We currently have 69 girls ranging in age from 7 months to 26 years old. In Honduras less than 7% of the children have access to high school. 97% of the girls we raise graduate high school and 21% have gone on to acquire a technical or university degree. Our girls have gone on to be successful dentists, social workers, electrical engineers, teachers, mothers, master wood carvers and so much more.
