Richmond Ballet awakens, uplifts, and unites human spirits through the power of dance. Dedicated to the evolution of ballet as a versatile language of movement that crosses national and cultural boundaries, we seek to draw an ever broader range of artists, students, and audiences to experience the magic of dance through inspiring performances, outstanding training, and meaningful community engagement.
About This Cause
Richmond Ballet, the State Ballet of Virginia, presents a full season of ballet productions in Richmond and tours throughout the Commonwealth, sharing the art of ballet with more than 35,000 audience members per year. School of Richmond Ballet offers training in ballet to more than 1,000 students annually from ages 4 through adulthood. The acclaimed Minds In Motion program connects more than 1,000 4th-grade students each year to dance through in-school classes and end-of-year performances. In addition to these major programs, Richmond Ballet reaches other members of our community through performances for schoolchildren both in-school and through field trips, ticketing programs promoting community access, and local partnerships. Through all of our programs, the Ballet reaches more than 70,000 people per year.
