About This Cause
Youth Services System, Inc. was created in 1974 to create new options to serve youth. YSS serves youth in the community, in schools, and with two emergency youth shelters, two training centers for older youth (17-21) moving to adult independence, a residential treatment program, and the state's only private, non-profit juvenile detention/corrections center. We offer assessment, treatment, therapy, work and training programs to alleviate crisis, build skills, and create connections to the community. We support the Community Impact Coalition's prevention work with youth. Lazarus House is a sober living home offering housing and care for adults in recovery. The Sophie Moses Free Store gives clothing and other households to those in the community who need it.
