Mission Statement
Alexander Youth Network provides quality professional treatment to children with serious emotional and behavioral problems. We deliver an effective and efficient array of services, enabling children and their families to exercise self-determination, achieve their potential, and become positive contributors to society.
About This Cause
Alexander has combined a variety of treatment programs into a complete Service Array; a series of programs that work together from start to finish. As a child grows and improves, we can offer the stability of customized treatment to keep intact his safety net of friends and the professionals he has grown to trust. Positive changes have a chance to take root and he learns new patterns and behaviors. He improves faster and the results last longer. We operate programs serving children from 5 to 18 years of age, including Comprehensive Clinical Assessment, Outpatient Therapy and Medication Management, Multisystemic Therapy, Day Treatment, Therapeutic Foster Care, Intensive In-Home Therapy, and Psychiatric Residential Treatment. Often, Alexander children are suffering from trauma-related mental health and behavioral health challenges that affect their ability to function successfully in their homes, schools, and communities. We are one of eight orgnaizations in the country licensed to offer programs structured around the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics and we consult with experts in the field of child trauma and the Child Trauma Academy to support the use of this clinical treatment approach. During 2017, Alexander served 8,250 children in 66 counties across the state of North Carolina.
