Mission Statement
Family Services is a nonprofit organization serving Forsyth County (NC) by providing professional services and participating in partnerships that foster the development of children, advance the safety, security, and success of families and individual, and help build a sustainable community.
About This Cause
Founded in 1905, Family Services has been meeting the needs of our community for over 100 years. Currently, we operate programming in three areas: Safe Relationships, Counseling, and Child Development. Our Safe Relationship programs centers around domestic violence and sexual assault emergency services including shelter, safety planning, advocacy and support services, counseling, and help with protective orders. We also run the Child Advocacy Center which completes all forensic interviews for cases of child abuse and neglect in Forsyth County. Our Counseling program provides mental health counseling for depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, grief and work place issues. Our Child Development division runs the Head Start and Early Head Start program for Forsyth County as well as private pay classroom for early childhood education.
