About This Cause
Hospitality House of Charlotte (HHOC) provides safe overnight accommodations to patients and their loved ones who travel to Charlotte for life-saving medical treatment and procedures. Leading healthcare providers in Charlotte rely on HHOC to provide safe, overnight shelter to patients and caregivers in medical crisis who often travel from outlying, rural areas to access critical health and life-sustaining outpatient treatment in Charlotte. For 35 years, HHOC's core service has been providing comfortable, overnight accommodations as a dignified alternative to sleeping in vehicles or hospital waiting rooms without adding the financial burden of a costly hotel stay. Guests are provided with family focused accommodations, compassionate support, and a variety of services that support the physical and mental well-being of patients and caregivers. HHOC is advancing equity in healthcare: Dismantling systemic, economic barriers to health equity through accessible accommodations and support services for hospital-referred patients and their caregivers who travel to Charlotte for life-saving procedures and serious illnesses.
