Mission Statement
The Green Hope Elementary Parent Teacher Association's mission is to bring families, the school, and the community together to positively impact the lives of everyone at GHE.
About This Cause
The Green Hope Elementary Parent Teacher Association is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) made up of committed parents, guardians and teachers. The PTA works to support the staff and students at Green Hope Elementary by coordinating events, activities and special programs that make this an outstanding school. We also raise funds to help meet school needs that are outside the scope of the school's budget—everything from painting and remodeling to updating technology. County and Statewide budget cuts continue to reduce what our schools can provide to students. Supplies, technology, facility upgrades and enrichment activities are no longer supported entirely by government funds. To keep our children’s educational opportunities at the level that they deserve, the GHE PTA steps in to raise money to fill the gaps left by budget cuts. The PTA funds major projects like the K-2 playground, smart boards and projectors in every classroom, updates to the grounds and much more. The PTA also works to support teachers in all aspects of their jobs. We know that the key to retaining quality faculty and staff is to make them feel respected and valued. Grants, classroom support, specialist support, Treats for Teachers and Teacher Appreciation all help show our staff that we recognize and appreciate their tireless work for our children. We think that kids should have a GREAT time at school! Ice Cream Social, Donuts with Grown Ups, Family Game Night, Field Day and Spirit Nights give GHE families a chance to connect, have fun and build school community. Teachers often attend and volunteer and the students love seeing their teachers having fun, too! In addition to all the support we provide the teachers, the PTA funds online access to educational apps like Raz-Kids, Reading A to Z, Moby Max and more. We fund investments in books and learning materials, spelling bees and character education.
