Mission Statement
ProjectExplorer’s mission is to bring the world into the classroom with free multimedia content and lesson plans that improve students’ global awareness and cross cultural understanding.
About This Cause
Founded in 2003, multi award-winning ProjectExplorer.org was a pioneer in creating and distributing online videos for students at a time when web video was, at best, an experiment. Today our growing catalog includes more than 200 original episodes and dozens of lesson plans. Nearly 6 million students have used our online materials to become more globally and culturally aware. ProjectExplorer.org covers a wide range of interrelated subjects, connecting U.S. and World History, Literature, Music, Language, Arts, Social Studies and Sciences in a way that helps students for lasting links between lessons. ProjectExplorer.org also provides lesson plans at three academic levels that adhere to National Curriculum Standards or Common Core Standards. With a growing audience of over SIX million online viewers, we’re expanding on that history of engaging, cultural and educational content to create a family-focus TV series inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals. Projected air date: Spring 2019. Broadcast channel agreed but not yet announced.
