About This Cause
VRHS PROJECT GRADUATION is a adult chaperoned, all-night drug, alcohol, and smoke free celebration for graduating seniors on the night of graduation. The organization promotes the message that celebrating without alcohol, cigarettes and drugs is the right choice. The location, entertainment, and food are provided by the PROJECT GRADUATION committee’s efforts. Many volunteers and sponsors work together to make graduation night safe and memorable for all the right reasons…and we always receive an enthusiastic response from the graduates that attend. PROJECT GRADUATION is NOT a school sponsored event. Though Vista Ridge High School endorses this activity, after commencement exercises the students are alumni of VRHS. The PROJECT GRADUATION celebration is organized, funded and hosted by the VRHS PROJECT GRADUATION organization (Parents Organizing a Safe and Sober Evening or P.O.S.S.E.) and community volunteers, with the support, cooperation and assistance of the Leander ISD Board of Education and the Vista Ridge High School Administration.
