Mission Statement
The mission of SCICU is to strengthen South Carolina's independent colleges and universities through collaboration, governmental advocacy, fundraising, and public engagement so that every student may choose, afford, and earn an independent college higher education that fits their personal values, professional and social aspirations, and approach to learning.
About This Cause
SCICU is a 501c3 non-profit association of 21 South Carolina independent colleges and universities. All member colleges are two or four-year higher education institutions with main campuses located in South Carolina and fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS). SCICU seeks to advance independent higher education in South Carolina through scholarships, research, collaboration, and legislative representation.
