Mission Statement
The Humane Society of Forsyth County (HSFC) is an independent, privately funded, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the people and pets of Forsyth County for over 44 years. Established in 1975, HSFC has adopted more than 28,000 animals into permanent, loving homes. As the largest no-kill, non-profit humane center in Forsyth County, GA HSFC is dedicated to: • Saving the county’s homeless cats and dogs • Reducing pet over-population • Educating our community about “responsible” pet ownership
About This Cause
The Humane Society of Forsyth County (HSFC) is a no-kill, nonprofit animal rescue and shelter dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned, abused, and neglected pets in Forsyth County, Georgia, and beyond. Since 1975, HSFC has provided compassionate care, medical treatment, and loving homes for thousands of cats and dogs. We are committed to ending pet homelessness through proactive spay/neuter initiatives, low-cost wellness and vaccine clinics, and community outreach. Our on-site veterinary clinic serves both shelter animals and the public, helping pet owners access affordable care and prevent unwanted litters. Our adoption program focuses on matching animals with loving, responsible families. We provide all necessary vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and microchipping prior to adoption. Special attention is given to animals with medical conditions or behavioral challenges through our Forever Friend Program, which ensures they receive lifelong care—even after adoption—at no cost to their new families. We also offer education programs, volunteer opportunities, and seasonal events that bring our community together in support of animal welfare. Every dollar raised helps us rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome more animals, and every life we save is thanks to generous supporters like you. Together, we can create a world where every pet is safe, healthy, and loved.
