Founded in 1908, FLORIDA UNITED METHODIST CHILDREN'S HOME aims to improve the lives of vulnerable children, youth, and families.
About This Cause
Founded in 1908, FUMCH aims to improve the lives of vulnerable children, youth, and families through services including: residential care, foster care, transitional living for young adults, independent living services, career development, aftercare, emergency shelter/stabilization care, childcare and infant early education and development center. Over 400 children are served by FUMCH at any given time. The residential care on campus alone currently provides a variety of holistic services to a diverse group of over 110 children every day and night. Since 2002, FUMCH has been a licensed provider of foster care services, and medical foster care. FUMCH currently has over 148 foster family homes that serve over 200 children at one time. FUMCH In As Much Early Childhood Education and Development Child Care Program provides child day care for over 100 children. The Independent Living Program established in 2008 serves an average of 120 aged-out foster care young adults per year. The Madison Youth Ranch a second residential campus opened in July 2014 which will serve children in Northern Florida. FUMCH is accredited by COA (Council on Accreditation), EAGLE (a program of the United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries), and is a member of the Alliance for Children and Families. FUMCH’s mission "To empower children and families to experience God's love as revealed in the ministry of Jesus Christ" drives all of our efforts as our dedicated team works with at-risk children, youth, and families.
