About This Cause
UF Health Jacksonville is a not-for-profit hospital affiliated with the University of Florida. With more than 5,000 faculty and staff, UF Health Jacksonville is the region’s premier academic health center, a leader in the education of health professionals, a hub for clinical research and a unique provider of high-quality patient care. At 37 clinical sites throughout Northeast Florida, UF physicians tally more than 600,000 outpatient visits and more than 34,000 inpatient admissions annually. UF Health Jacksonville provides healthcare to all populations, regardless of their ability to pay. For many we are their only access to health services. Unlike other hospitals in the area, surgeons and other healthcare professionals in areas such as neurosurgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthopaedic trauma surgery and cardiothoracic surgery, are available on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This allows us to provide immediate critical care to those in our community with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Our highly trained physicians and staff save lives, allowing those who have suffered from traumatic injury or illness and their families to return home, building healthy and strong communities.
