Mission Statement
The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center is Central Florida’s community resource for families and professional caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias through education, advocacy, research opportunities and compassionate support.
About This Cause
- The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center is the only Central Florida organization committed solely to delivering comfort, resources and support to caregivers for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. - The organization provides caregivers with a nurturing, family-centric environment of professionals and peers who are “walking through the same journey” with a loved one – and can help you walk through yours. - As a Florida Brain Bank Research Program coordinator for 20 counties across the state – and one of only two such organizations in the state – the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center actively strives to provide those affected by the disease with hope for a cure. - ADRC helps coordinate tissue donations for scientific research to help find better drugs, better diagnostic tools and – ultimately – a cure. In addition to receiving a definitive diagnosis, participants’ families also know that their loved one has made a valuable contribution to research throughout the world. - The organization empowers caregivers with the knowledge, resources, support and services necessary to prepare them for and help them cope with the challenges ahead.
