Mission Statement
The mission of the MAR-JCC is to provide children, teens, families, and senior adults with a comprehensive array of innovative recreational, cultural and educational programs and a variety of services, in a supportive, safe, and welcoming environment. The MAR-JCC is dedicated to the enrichment of Jewish and community life; fostering the spiritual, emotional, and physical development of its individual members through all of life’s stages; and strengthening the connection with the People and Culture of Israel, along with other Jewish communities throughout the world.
About This Cause
The Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center (MAR-JCC), located on the Sanford L. Ziff Campus in North Miami Beach, Florida, is a 501(c)(3) and a recognized Center of Excellence. Membership at the MAR-JCC is open to the public, and all races, religions, and national origins are welcome. The MAR-JCC represents a model of acceptance and diversity, and epitomizes how shared Jewish values support a vibrant multi-faceted constituency. The MAR-JCC serves over 8,000 members from the North Miami-Dade Community and the influx of new members is constant. Most of our programs, teams and services are all operating at their maximum potential. As a result, the administration stays focused on finding ways to ensure the growth required to meet the needs of our expanding membership. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the MAR-JCC is a beneficiary agency of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the United Way of Miami-Dade, and is a member of the Jewish Community Center Association.
