Mission Statement
Hosparus Health provides comprehensive care for patients and families facing serious illness. Started by a dedicated group of volunteers in 1978, we are a fully accredited nonprofit provider of premier palliative and hospice care services. Our care teams are recognized and respected nationwide for innovation and expertise in advanced illness care for the most complex health issues. Today, Hosparus Health is one of the top 20 nonprofit hospice organizations in the United States, serving nearly 7,000 patients and their families in 33 counties in Kentucky and Southern Indiana
About This Cause
The mission of Hosparus Health is improving the quality of life for those nearing the end of life. Our vision is to be the pre-eminent provider of compassionate life care and to make each day the best it can be for our patients and their families. Our teams of healthcare professionals and specially trained volunteers provide symptom control, medication management, personal care and psychosocial, emotional and spiritual support for patients with life-limiting illness. We serve nearly 7,000 dying patients annually in a 33-county service area. Families of our Kourageous Kids patients continue to seek a cure while receiving our support. All services are provided regardless of the ability of the patient to pay. In addition, we offer bereavement services free or at low cost on a sliding scale
