Mission Statement
Animal Care Society (ACS) was founded in 1984 and is a privately funded, 501c (3) non-profit no-kill adoption agency for dogs and cats.
About This Cause
Animal Care Society continues to be a leader in animal welfare in the Louisville community. ACS has placed well over 17,000 animals into loving homes. For a better part of 30+ years, ACS has been a safe haven for Louisville animals in need of a second chance. ACS is not only the place to adopt a fur-ever friend, but is also host to many community activities including Eagle Scout projects, Youth Education programs, and animal welfare education programs. We are also a premier volunteer service stop for families, students and individuals. Our compassionate staff works closely with other businesses, groups, and organizations in our community to fulfil our mission.
