Mission Statement
The Club’s mission is serve all members of our community who have a desire to participate in the sport of water polo as a recreational activity and to provide dedicated athletes with the opportunity to practice and compete at the highest possible level. THills runs the Beaverton High school Water Polo program and also organizes four water polo tournaments a year.
About This Cause
Water Polo is a exciting sport where athletes improve their swim strength and speed and get really fit due to the full body work out. It is a growing sport (where pool time permits) as it is high impact sport with low injury risk due to the water. THills is well established club and has been operating in the Beaverton area since 1983 serving girls and boys ages 8-18. When water polo funding for Beaverton High Schools was cut THills stepped in and took over the whole program. Without this support perhaps only one or two schools may have kept their programs running. THills provides equitable access for all students in the area as currently all Beaverton High schools have teams. We try to keep our registration fees low so that as many athletes as possible can participate.
