To preserve and improve the historic buildings of Grace Church Brooklyn Heights.
About This Cause
The Grace Brooklyn Heights Conservancy was established in 2012 to support the restoration of the buildings of Grace Church Brooklyn Heights, including the church designed in 1847 by the distinguished architect, Richard Upjohn and the integrated parish house, built in 1931. An extensive restoration was completed in 2013-2014. Following this work, Grace was honored with a 2015 Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award by the New York Landmarks Conservancy, an award for Excellence in Historic Preservation from the Brooklyn Heights Association and a 2014 Preservation Award from the Victorian Society New York. The challenges of maintaining these historic buildings is never-ending, however, and all gifts to the Conservancy are most gratefully received.
