About This Cause
We believe that no child should have to live on the streets. Hope for Life was founded in 2009 in response to the urgent needs of a group of Rwandan children who were arrested simply for being homeless. Since our inception, nearly 100 children have escaped homelessness, over 500 people have improved their lives, and hundreds of vulnerable children have been enrolled in school. We operate three main programs: a rehabilitative home for 24 children transitioning off of the streets at a time, a community sponsorship program to support youth at risk of becoming homeless, and an outreach program for children currently living on the streets.
