We make a positive impact through effective action and leadership.
About This Cause
The Junior League of Louisville has been a catalyst behind bettering our community for 100 years. Our membership is comprised of over 300 hard-working and engaged women whose primary goal is to improve life in our city. We are an organization of women who welcome the unique backgrounds and perspectives of our members and are committed to having a membership that reflects the rich diversity of the community we serve. More than 75% of our active members work full-time outside of the home. We are professionals, daughters, wives, mothers, sisters, and friends who are committed to devoting our time and energy to the betterment of our city. We live by our mission to develop the potential of women, promote voluntarism and improve our community. Some of our community impact initiatives and partnerships over the years have included Race for the Cure, YMCA Safe Place, Ronald McDonald House, KidsZone, StageOne Children's Theater, Cabbage Patch, Home of the Innocent, Bloom Boutique, KRUSH, Noogiefest at Gilda's Club, Family Scholar House, Urban Gardens, Stand Up for Girls, Strive & Thrive, Blessing in a Backpack, Little Free Libraries. Right now, our primary focus of Youth Homelessness and Development requires immediate action, and our multi-faceted approach is making an impact. We are committed to assisting our partners to reduce the number of youth experiencing homelessness in our community. We currently fund and support partnership programs with Coalition Supporting Young Adults (Coalition for the Homeless) and TrueUp.
