About This Cause
In 1999, physicians Dr. David Gaw and Dr. John Lamb began discussing the need for a family practice medical clinic to provide healthcare for low-income, uninsured Nashville residents. Gaining the support of community leaders, the clinic secured funding in 2000 and FFMC opened in October, 2001. Since then, FFMC has served 30,000+ patients through 100,000+ visits and has become a leader in medical care, behavioral health, and wellness programs for our neighbors in need. We proudly serve Nashville's working uninsured and under-insured.
