About This Cause

The United Way of Washington County Tennessee, Inc. supports a wide variety of programs through 17 partner agencies and the administration of the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Programs of FEMA. Our United Way also administers the Hand Up Fund, specifically targeting the provision of fuel services to needy recipients. The United Way of Washington Count Tennessee addresses short and long term community needs through programs that help children and youth achieve their potential, improve people's health and access to medical services, promote financial stability and independence, provide help in times of crisis, and provide ongoing support for the elderly, disabled, and their caregivers. By working with our partner agencies through direct funding, marketing their services to the community, and providing assistance in strengthening their ability to improve the quality and effectiveness of their programs and financial soundness, we continue to build a sound base of community services that address the needs of this area.
