About This Cause
The Children’s Healing Institute is a non-profit organization and accredited Child Abuse Prevention Center founded in 1988. The Children's Healing Institute is dedicated to changing the course of children's lives by partnering with parents in the home and the community to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Services focus on reducing stress, promoting health, building parenting skills, teaching non-violent discipline, and strengthening support systems. Programs include: Parent Aide (evidence-based in-home family mentoring and parenting support), TEACUP Preemie Program® (resources and support in the hospital NICU and the home for families with a premature infant), and FirstPlay® (research-based infant play therapy model for secure attachment/bonding). Our Turn on the Light National Conference on the Wellbeing of Children and Families, held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, is heading into its 16th year. The annual conference brings together hundreds of parents, professionals and volunteers for a day of educational workshops and networking.
