Mission Statement

No Person Goes Hungry & No Food Goes to Waste

About This Cause

We are a food bank that focuses on eliminating hunger in Florida. With more than 3.4 million families suffering from food insecurity throughout Florida before the COVID-19 pandemic, Farm Share meets the everyday hunger needs of Floridians as Florida's largest food bank by working hand-in-hand with local farmers to recover and redistribute produce that would otherwise be thrown away due to aesthetic imperfections. Farm Share also aids communities before, during and after natural disasters by offering food, clothing, furniture and more. With facilities and warehouses throughout the State of Florida in Quincy, Jacksonville, Pompano Beach, Florida City, Palatka, West Palm Beach and Homestead, Farm Share is able to quickly get food and supplies to those in need across the state. Farm Share currently serves all 67 counties in Florida Thanks to Farm Share, instead of dumping the fruits of their labor, Florida farmers can donate their surplus fruits and vegetables to help feed Florida’s elderly, children and others in need and receive up to a 200% tax credit for the food’s market value. It’s a win: win situation for food insecure Floridians as well as the farmers utilizing Farm Share’s services. As a result, last year Farm Share provided more than 86 million meals (that's over 10 million pounds of food) to food insecure households from Pensacola to Key West.
