Mission Statement
To train and coach youth in amateur boxing. To build character and responsibility and teach life's lesson's to the youth, regardless of race, creed, or nationality. To teach respect, dedication, consideration, teamwork and goal-setting to the next generation.
About This Cause
The SJC Boxing Club was founded in Fort Myers, Florida in 1989 and three years later became a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. We have had a long and storied career in amateur and professional boxing and “Boxing for Fitness.” More importantly, we have had several heartwarming success stories with the youth of Southwest Florida. We provide excellent training and mentoring in life’s lessons for its members. We operate our gym Monday through Friday from 6pm until 8pm and have done so all these years. We currently have many members, young and old, male and female, who enjoy learning and training together. The ones who are competing in amateur boxing events are doing extremely well, while becoming better citizens. Our professionals have achieved international acclaim and success while others are receiving many health benefits by their participation in our Boxing for Fitness program. We have had events in combination with the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame where we hosted their annual "Official Announcement of the new Class of Inductees" each year for the past 14 years. We have had events with the Minnesota Twins and Fort Myers Miracle. We have done much with honoring local veterans at our events where we have done book signings, photograph and autograph sessions. We look forward to continued success as we welcome new members and sponsors.
