About This Cause
Fondos Unidos de Puerto Rico advances the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all. Our focus is on education, income and health-the building blocks for a good quality of life. United in a community where all individuals and families reach their full potential throughout education, financial stability and health. • We are the leading private non-profit organization in obtaining and distributing funds in Puerto Rico • We generate changes by identifying needs, evaluating services, and delivering human and financial resources • Our expertise and experience is recognized as a primary source of knowledge • To evolve and reach our goals is our main concern • We commit all of our passion in providing services thus community impact in our Island Serve the Puerto Rico community as an organization responsible for advancing the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all, by rendering several direct services or through non-profit organizations who participate and/or that are recepients of the medular / core fund raising campaign or other fund raising efforts engaged by the Organization. To raise funds based on the joint efforts of all the community sectors through an annual campaign, special events, cause marketing efforts and/or special grants, and distribute such funds among organizations created with non-profit purposes, such as, but not limited to the focus areas of education, financial stability and health, the building blocks for a good quality of life, as well as the Sembrando Futuro cause, which focus on early childhood education to prevent social problems to happen in the first place. These approaches should encompass to support social and family well-being, character development, and rehabilitation, throughout the social services provided to the Puerto Rican community. To stimulate and promote civic interest and participation in favor of the services rendered by the organizations dedicated to non-profit purposes, such as, but not limited to support social and family well-being, character development, and rehabilitation, throughout the social services provided on behalf of the Puerto Rican community, and to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided through the involvement of the community. Building Blocks: Education: We all benefit when our children succeed in school, graduate, get a good job and become productive adults. We support educational services from the moment children enter kindergarten developmentally ready to succeed socially and cognitively thus all along the learning spectrum from birth through ready for career, college or trade. Collaborative partners funded programs, are geared to increase academic achievement especially for children from lower income households, children in foster care those whose support system at home may be less stable. Income: As individuals we all aim to find a good job, within our best capabilities, reason why Fondos Unidos de Puerto Rico support programs that satisfy families basic needs. We promote that individuals and families know and access available resources in the community, while being economically self-sufficient, financially literate, managing responsibly their income and by having access to other community base services so they can live with confidence towards the future. Health: Living healthy lifestyles allow our children to maximize their learning opportunities and adults to enjoy longer and productive lives. Whether is a neighbor without health insurance, a victim of abuse, or someone struggling with mental illness or an addiction, Fondos Unidos de Puerto Rico is working to ensure everyone has access to affordable and quality care. We promote services focused on prevention and treatment of medical conditions, as well as educational programs that should stimulate better mental and physical health, encompassed to help our community to avoid risky behavior and
