Mission Statement
Every student benefits from the Foothill Educational Support Fund and 100% of your Ed Fund donation goes back into the school. Ed Fund contributions directly support programs, personnel, materials and equipment at Foothill. The PFA is committed to continuing this level of support, which is extremely helpful to the success of our children.
About This Cause
What is the Educational Support Fund (Ed Fund)? The Foothill Educational Support Fund is the Parent Faculty Association's primary source of funds to bridge the gap between public funding and the current, true cost of the full educational experience we all want for our students at Foothill Middle School. The recommended tax deductible contribution for the 2015-16 school year is $295 (a little less than $1.65 a day) per child. Your 2015-16 PFA Ed Fund contributions will help to provide: Reduced math and science class sizes in all grades School-wide technology upgrades Lunchtime library access for students Computer lab instructional assistant Technology support for students and faculty Ed Fund donations in recent years have also funded startup supply costs for our 8th graders' Civil War Day experience, lunchtime seating in the Quad and Multi-Use room, emergency preparedness backpacks, microscopes, LCD projectors and more. 100% Participation We know every family situation is different so the goal of Ed Fund is to achieve 100% participation regardless of the dollar amount. No amount is too small, and every dollar makes a difference for our school. Now more than ever, during these times of budget constraints in education, we need the support of every family in order to sustain the level of excellence expected for our children.
