Mission Statement
NCVLI actively promotes comprehensive and enforceable legal rights for crime victims and access to knowledgeable attorneys to help protect those rights in every case through victim centered legal advocacy, education, and resources.
About This Cause
NCVLI is the only organization in the country working at the national and state levels, in state and federal courts, to assert victims' rights in criminal trial and appellate courts. Every year we pair hundreds of victims to pro bono or low costs attorneys and advocates for services, and our legal team provides technical assistance in the form of legal research, writing, and strategic advice to these individuals so that they can make the best arguments for victims. Our programs and services are designed to show our commitment to all victims whether victims of child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, homicide, trafficking or other crimes so that victims have a meaningful voice in the process. Our ultimate goal is a fair and balanced justice system in which those impacted by crime, including victims, have a voice and feel heard.
