Mission Statement
Ozarks Football League is a developmental league for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. OFL teaches future athletes basic fundamentals in conjunction with the plays, formations and terminology of his/her future high school team. Our league consists of 15 competitive teams representing Hillcrest, Kickapoo, Parkview, Central, Glendale, Pleasant Hope, Ozark, Marshfield, Nixa, Branson, Sparta, West Plains, Houston, Camdenton and Waynesville high schools. Currently, we conduct practices and play games in the spring.
About This Cause
Any donation would be to assist the students of families that cannot afford to participate. Our motto has always been no child turned away because of an inability to pay". WHO WE ARE: We are the only youth league that works directly with public schools. Each OFL participant plays on the team that represents his/her future high school. The volunteer coaching staffs of each of our representative public-school teams work directly with public school coaches who direct them what they wish to be taught. This includes high school playbook, formations, and terminology. Incoming Freshmen are up to speed on the system of the public school. Our participant age group is 5th through 8th grades. We teach a safer way to play the sport, following NFL’s USA Football guidelines. WHAT WE DO: OFL has always had a scholarship program in place to make it possible for low-income families to participate. Our motto is “No child is turned away because of an inability to pay”. We also have helped countless troubled youth find a better way. We have had lawyers, as well as Social Workers bring kids to practice after signing them up to participate. Our proven record has helped troubled kids find a new way to vent anger, make new friends and be a part of a team. Almost all finished high school and started a new way of life. Some even continued to higher education. "Every other youth football league under USA Football in the U.S., knows about Ozarks Football League. Everywhere I go, I use OFL as the Gold Standard of which other programs are measured." Billy Elmore Master Trainer USA Football Heads Up Program I have done this a long time, coached a lot of kids (which means I am getting old) and I can tell you that your positive influence in the lives of young people and the sport of football is incredible. I am someone who knows, believe me, and I thank you sincerely for doing what you do!!! We will always need to continue to develop players to be their very best in everything they do. OFL has been a tremendous advantage for us and I really appreciate all your efforts to provide this opportunity for young people!!! Coach Mike Mauk Head Football Coach Glendale Falcons Springfield, MO THIS is the reason we keep working for this program. We couldn’t have achieved this level of success without donors, like you. This program depends upon your support! I am asking for your support, so we can continue to offer this program for our kids. We receive no public assistance or grants of any kind. We have Gameday programs for two divisions, Mountain and Valley (depending on team or school size). Our gameday ads are distributed to all spectators at every OFL game. People from 15 communities have access to the programs. In addition, we have added another feature “Game of the Week” video in each division. Starting with our “Big Hit” level, we place ads from those sponsors during breaks in the game action. Our season starts in March and ends in May. We have 4-5 high school stadiums active each game night. Our videos are posted on YouTube and Rumble with links in our weekly emailed newsletter. Games nights are usually Thursday and Friday with occasional Saturday gamedays. Average attendance is 400 spectators per stadium, per game night. We play our games at Springfield High School stadiums, Ozark High School, Waynesville High School, Marshfield High School and West Plains High School.
