Mission Statement
Holy Family Services is the longest licensed free standing birth center in Texas. We are located in the heart of the "Rio Grande Valley" north of Weslaco. Founded in 1983 by four Catholic sisters we strive to uphold their mission, by providing safe and affordable family centered maternity care to families in the Valley.

Holy Family Services is the longest licensed free standing birth center in Texas. We are located in the heart of the "Rio Grande Valley" north of Weslaco. Founded in 1983 by four Catholic sisters we strive to uphold their mission, by providing safe and affordable family centered maternity care to families in the Valley. The founding sisters have retired, but we continue to be a place where faith is valued and where people may show their own acts of mercy. Along with the revenue we generate from providing care in the clinic and birth center, we rely on the generosities of volunteers and donors. Thank you for helping us to meet the needs of our community. Birth Centers and the Nurse-Midwifery Model of Care are recognized across the U.S. for having exceptional outcomes. Holy Family continues to be involved with data collection for research, quality assurance, and benchmarking purposes. Thank you to our families that have allowed us to share information about your care. It allows us to validate the care we provide, make improvement as needed, and to share with others beyond the Valley about the benefits of birth centers and nurse-midwifery care!
