About This Cause
Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) is Colorado’s oldest and largest environmental stewardship nonprofit dedicated to public engagement. We connect people with nature through service, education, training, and leadership development, enabling community members to undertake high-quality projects and address Colorado’s most critical outdoor stewardship needs, such as recreational trail construction and maintenance, forest health, urban gardening, habitat restoration, and more. Since 1984, VOC’s volunteer and training programs have engaged more than 133,000 people in caring for Colorado’s outdoors, providing more than $27 million in donated labor. Our vision is a Colorado where all people connect to nature and care for our outdoor spaces.
