Mission Statement
The Northside Education Foundation (NEF) was created in 1995. The mission of the Foundation is to foster community involvement in innovative education programs by generating and disbursing funds and other resources to provide enrichment for students of the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas.
About This Cause
The Northside Education Foundation (NEF) is an independent non-profit that enriches education in the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas. Since 1995, NEF has awarded more than $9 million in grants to NISD faculty and staff. NEF grants enrich student learning in many different ways by funding classroom projects that are not provided in the District budget. For example, NEF grants help staff attain materials and supplies needed to build robots and container homes, musical instruments, technological instruction supplies and so much more. Through fundraisers and events, NEF helps support faculty and staff with their ever-growing need for resources.
