Mission Statement
Meals from the Heart is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) company that brings people together to serve their neighbors through energized and fun meal-packing events that provide flavorful, fortified meals to LOCAL food shelves.
About This Cause
Our Events Hunger is a serious issue. We think the best way to bring people together to help those in need is by having fun—and our well-organized events reflect that. We have different event options to fit any style of organization. We help train team leaders, and all of the volunteers packing meals with us understand what they’re doing. They feel the impact they’re having on the community. We don’t pressure anyone into donating money (although we certainly are grateful for any contributions). At the end of an event, our goal is to have volunteers leave with three important things: • the satisfaction of serving their neighbors • the joy of working side-by-side with friends and new acquaintances • a smile because they enjoyed the experience Our Food The popularity of our meals is found in our respectful approach to the meal recipients and our broad vision of community, which separates Meals From the Heart food from other providers’ products. To better serve the moms, the dads, and children, Meals From The Heart believed from the start that the meals had to be transformed beyond a tasteless bag of rice or pasta that simply met basic nutrition guidelines into flavorful enhancements a family can enjoy eating. Today, our meals are developed by a consulting chef to deliver all the essential nutritional requirements in recipes that actually taste good! We don’t think that a meal for a hungry person needs to be bland. The meal package label also better reflects a typical commercial product to communicate our respect for the end consumer; the bag design stands up on a shelf to assist our distributors and make selecting the package easier for families.
