Mission Statement
TCSAR provides professional volunteers to aid local agencies in locating missing persons. TCSAR services are provided at no cost to the agency and the family of the missing person. The team is on call 24/7, 365 days a year. The team helps educate the community about how to prevent getting lost, what to do in the event you do get lost, and basic survival skills.
About This Cause
TCSAR is a non-profit and not a government agency. We do not deploy until we are requested by a law enforcement agency. Because the team does not receive government funding, team members are expected to foot the cost for their equipment and different forms of continuing education and certifications. Donations the team receives from a few annual fundraising events goes to maintain the cost of team assets such as the command trailer, medical equipment, insurance, and operating expenses. Over the next couple of years the team will need to purchase a new command trailer to replace the current one as it begins to deteriorate and need additional repairs. This is a huge undertaking for the team as our command trailer is the hub of activity and information during our searches. We want to be prepared to serve the community when we are called and provide the most efficient and professional services as possible.
