Mission Statement

SARA aims to rescue a wide variety of animals, without regard to their species, health conditions, or behavior. We are committed to saving as many as we can. Unconditional life has always been our slogan—compassion for all animals.

About This Cause

We have been in operation since 1996, and for nearly three decades, we have saved countless lives. SARA is one of the largest sanctuaries of its kind in the world, located on 120 beautiful wooded acres in Guadalupe County, between Austin and San Antonio.
