Mission Statement
Prepare youth to meet the challenges of childhood, adolescence and adulthood, through a coordinated, long-term, progressive series of educational experiences that enhance life skills and develop social, emotional, physical and cognitive competencies.
About This Cause
The Guadalupe County 4-H Program and its council serve the entire area of Guadalupe County, Texas. There is a 4-H club in each major community of the county including Seguin, Geronimo, Marion, Schertz/Cibolo, New Berlin, Kingsbury, Santa Clara and McQueeney. The 14 clubs of the county provide meaningful leadership and citizenship activities for the participating 4-Hers. Guadalupe County 4-H is a part of the broader Texas 4-H program under the management of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. This service, based out of College Station, takes research-based information, and relays it to the extension offices in 253 in counties around Texas. While all 254 counties do not have an office, every county does have an extension presence with extension agents making visits, starting 4-H programs, and helping Texas continue to grow.
