Mission Statement
Austin Kannada Sangha (AKS) is a non-profit charitable organization (501(c)(3)) serving the Greater Austin population in the State of Texas. Our goal is to promote and preserve the rich culture and language (kannada) of the State of Karnataka - one of the four states in Southern India.
About This Cause
Austin Kannada Sangha(AKS) works with the following objectives, a) Provide a platform to all members living in the Greater Austin area, to share and cherish our Kannada culture and traditions (music, dance, art, language) by hosting events and programs. b) Enable our younger generations to get more involved in learning Karnataka’s traditions and its literature while also developing a sense of unity among their fellow Kannadigas. c) Help members to maintain a positive focus on serving and giving back to the community.
