Mission Statement
Japanese (language) is a foundation for all subjects in the Japanese school education. Austin Japanese School aims to teach Japanese at the level of quality equivalent to the education provided in Japan to the K-9 students living in the central Texas area. The main purpose are that the qualified school-age children (1) can easily adapt to school education when returning/moving to Japan, and (2) maintain and develop their Japanese language skills and deepen their knowledge and understanding of Japanese culture while living in the U.S.

Austin Japanese School is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, under the laws of the state of Texas. * Established by the Austin Japanese School Board Committee in September 2000. * Registered as a nonprofit corporation in February 2000. * Certified by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technlogy in April 2002.
