Mission Statement
Loudoun Cares connects those who serve with those in need to build a stronger community. We serve through our ConnectLine that helps residents in need find health and human services, as well as, through our online Volunteer Center that matches people that want to serve with local nonprofits that need them.
About This Cause
Loudoun Cares is honored to be named both the 2021 Nonprofit of the Year and the 2021 Small Business of the Year by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. Most recently our Executive Director was name the 2022 Nonprofit Executive of the Year. Our organization was established in November 2002 to create a nonprofit center that could provide stable and affordable rent, reduced overhead, and shared resources for area nonprofit. As the needs of the county became clearer, Loudoun Cares continued to find new ways to connect both residents and nonprofits. The ConnectLine, opened in 2004, connects residents in need with local health and human service providers and secures emergency financial assistance through our Faith Network. During COVID we partnered with Catholic Charities and our Faith Network to distribute rent/utility assistance. (Since Oct 2021 Loudoun Cares has carried on the program exclusively) Since April 2020 we have helped to keep over 1,000 families in their homes and their lights on with $1.65 million in assistance. Our online Volunteer Center has matched up over 4,700 volunteer with local nonprofits during this same time period. As an umbrella organization we know the importance of building strong networks and helping where we are needed. Contributions will ensure we are there to pick up the phone when our families need our help our our nonprofits are looking for someone to lend a hand.
