Mission Statement
The mission of FCI is to rescue, restore, educate, and bring hope to victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
About This Cause
FCI is committed to the mental, emotional, and physical restoration of victims impacted by human trafficking. Though the numbers are daunting, we never give up hope and provide many services to victims living in the “life” and those who get the opportunity to walk away free of a jail sentence or alive. Outreach and Education - Street teams are deployed to cities where trafficking is highest. Staff and volunteers distribute toiletries and provide resources weekly to women engaged in prostitution and human trafficking. We also provide awareness training and workshops to churches, law enforcement and hospital personnel. Classes are also offered to parents, educators, and day care providers. Drop-in and Resource Center – Our Drop-In and Resource Center is a safe place where women receive support, resources, and information regarding their physical, mental, and emotional needs. They are welcomed into a trauma-informed environment where they can relax, find comfort, and feel safe. We provide case management, advocacy, an 8-week diversion workshop, hygiene products, clothing, hot meals and resources for short-term shelter, residential programs, medical services, job placement, and education. Anyone with a desire to leave the “life” is provided with resources necessary to assist with their decision. When needed, the center provides transportation to relocation sites, job interviews and appropriate services. Road to Freedom Program - Road to Freedom (RTF) is an 8-week diversion program designed for women with a history of prostitution, human trafficking, and sexual exploitation. Participants are provided with resources, education and tools needed to identify behaviors that caused them to become victimized. Youth Ambassador Program (YAP) - Empower youth to become leaders in their community by enhancing their knowledge in human trafficking, teen dating violence, mental health, as well as other stressors youth face in today’s society. We utilize interactive practices, education, and intervention tools. Residential Housing - Rachel's House of Healing (RHH) is a residential program for victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation who are 18 years of age and older. Located in San Bernardino, we provide a safe trauma-informed environment where survivors can heal from their abuse and trauma. Our full-time staff provide emotional and mental support, 24-hour animal assisted rehabilitative care, case management, addiction recovery, anger management and job training. Staff and residents work together to set and achieve goals, identify barriers, complete evidence, and a strength-based curriculum. Residents work to become self-sustainable through our social enterprise, Rachel's Sew n' Sow (RSS). RSS, a social enterprise program for residents of our safe house that is designed to train and encourage the residents in business conception, planning, start up and management process. While in the program participants can also select a job training program that provides critical skills needed for job placement and job retention. Participants learn resume writing, interviewing skills, and dressing for success. Participants also work with job coaches, and mentors to enhance skills, identify barriers and to achieve goals.
