Mission Statement
The University of Texas Law School Foundation was established in 1952 as an educational foundation to support The University of Texas School of Law. The Board of Trustees includes among its members some of the most prominent attorneys in Texas and the nation. The Foundation manages most of the endowments and privately-sponsored funds which support the Law School.
About This Cause
The University of Texas Law School Foundation is a private, non-profit, and educational corporation, established on June 13, 1952. The mission of the Law School Foundation is the development, management, and enhancement of financial and administrative resources which support The University of Texas School of Law. To fulfill our mission, we are dedicated to: • Identification, solicitation, and stewardship of donors for the funding of Law School programs, such as the Annual Fund (unrestricted and operational resources), Capital Programs (endowed chairs, professorships, lectureships, and scholarships), Special Projects (building funds, faculty research, and special endowment campaigns), and Planned Giving (wills, bequests, estates, and trusts); • Collecting, accounting, acknowledging, investing, disbursing, and reporting of funds raised for such objectives, in the most efficient, expeditious, beneficial, and prudent manner possible; • Assisting the Dean, faculty, and students of the School of Law in achieving their goals and objectives, whenever possible and appropriate; • Cooperating and coordinating with The University of Texas at Austin Development Board for the advancement of the general welfare of The University of Texas as a whole.
