Mission Statement
The Plano Civic Chorus is a 90-100 member auditioned choir that performs a wide variety of music in three to four concerts per year. The mission of the Plano Civic Chorus is to enrich the North Texas community by performing great choral masterpieces and exceptional modern choral works.
About This Cause
The Plano Civic Chorus was founded in 1972, in Plano, Texas. The Chorus is a non-profit entity, operating with a volunteer board of directors and a paid artistic director. The Chorus performs in Plano, as well as the surrounding area, including Dallas. The concert season usually consists of three or four unique programs, often including an orchestral or instrumental accompaniment. In addition, the chorus frequently collaborates with the Plano Symphony Orchestra and performs with them as a featured choral artistic group.
