Mission Statement
The Plano ISD Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is committed to helping all students in Plano school district achieve their full potential by providing financial support to educators and programs. The foundation was organized in 1993 to help the School District maintain its high standards of innovative academic excellence through a vibrant coalition of community, educators and local corporation support.
About This Cause
Each year the Foundation gifts Plano ISD hundreds of thousands of dollars to support district-wide programs that make a substantial impact, such as: • Grants to Educators to enhance the instruction of our students; • Funding for Plano ISD pilot programs that hold promise of closing student achievement gaps and ensuring all students are college-ready; • Sponsorships of numerous Plano ISD initiatives that recruit, retain and recognize the very best teachers; • Scholarships for economically disadvantaged students to attend Plano ISD 5th grade camp; • Emergency grants to Plano ISD employees experiencing a short- term personal crisis; • Support for professional development needs;
