Mission Statement
Great Lakes Academy is a non-profit, fully accredited K-12 private school located in Plano, Texas which educates students with various Learning Differences, including ADHD and ASD Level 1, formerly known as Asperger's Syndrome. GLA is committed to providing its students with a stimulating environment and favorable atmosphere which affords each student every opportunity to develop both their social skills and their academics. Great Lakes Academy instills in their students an appreciation for their own uniqueness. In addition to a challenging curriculum, Great Lakes Academy offers a low student-teacher ratio (no more than 10 students to a class), multi-sensory teaching methods, and continuous monitoring of student progress.
