Mission Statement

The Georgia Innocence Project is a non-profit law firm that provides legal representation to falsely convicted individuals. Our mission is to free the imprisoned innocent, educate the public that these cases are neither isolated nor rare, and to promote policies that reduce instances of wrongful conviction.

About This Cause

A dedicated group of staff, volunteers, interns, and board members work to advance GIP's mission: screening applications, investigating cases, representing our clients in court, communicating with the public, and providing day-to-day administration.
