Mission Statement

East Palo Alto Kids Foundation (EPAK) is a community-based, volunteer organization that supports educational opportunity and academic success for 3,500 students of the economically-disadvantaged and underserved schools of East Palo Alto and eastern Menlo Park, California by awarding grants directly to credentialed teachers so they can create a quality learning environment for their students and lessen the disparities that exist with neighboring school districts

About This Cause

For nearly 30 years, East Palo Alto Kids Foundation (EPAK) has been committed to creating educational opportunities for students in the ethnically and economically diverse neighborhoods of East Palo Alto and eastern Menlo Park. Our simple and effective grassroots model puts grant money directly into the hands of teachers and helps to close gaps in funding, increase educational equity, and inspire lifelong learning. We put funding straight into the hands of PreK-12 public school teachers, empowering them to respond to the unique needs of their students. EPAK grants close the gap between what students need and what school budgets cover.
