Mission Statement
Housing Choices enhances the lives of people with developmental disabilities by creating quality, affordable housing options that enable people to live inclusively in the community. Our target community is Santa Clara County, Santa Cruz County, San Benito County and Monterey County.
About This Cause
Housing Choices creates new affordable housing opportunities by partnering with housing developers to set aside a percentage of the rental units at the property for people with developmental disabilities. We currently support more than 250 people with developmental disabilities to maintain their housing at 18 different Partner Properties, with five other properties in planning and development. In addition, each year we help more than 1,400 individuals with developmental disabilities create an individual housing plan, search for housing that meets their needs, and apply for and maintain wait list status.
