Mission Statement
Heroes of the Nation is one of Kenya’s largest orphanage, located about 3 hours north of Nairobi. Our campus houses and educates over 480 children. Our passion is to rescue abandoned, orphaned and vulnerable children in order to save them from a life on the streets. We teach these children that they are more than orphans and that past experiences do not determine their future. These children are taught that they can become the future “Heroes” for the nation, the next generation of leaders that will invest in their nation to make it a better place. Each child receives an excellent education that prepares them to excel in school, advance to a university, and go on to become leaders in their community. HTN children are also trained in entrepreneurship, community service and finances to equip them with skills for life.
About This Cause
Instead of merely feeding and clothing children, Heroes seeks to raise up the next generation of leaders. This is accomplished through instilling identity, creating self-sufficient communities, teaching social justice, and emphasizing an excellent education and leadership training for the hundreds of children on our campus.
